PlugIn ECU’s explained

Here at Link Engine Management we have the world’s largest range of PlugIn ECU’s.
PlugIn units are a direct replacement for your factory ECU, specifically built for each model of car.

Majority of the Link G4X PlugIn range slides straight into your factory enclosure, making installation a breeze. A couple of our PlugIns such as the Audi TTLink and 350ZLink come in their own enclosures but these still fit directly into the original location.

When using a PlugIn, the wiring in your car remains the same while you gain full control over engine functions such as fuel, ignition timing, boost pressure and more. All boards are supplied with a start program for your model of car. Once tuned, considerable gains in power across the complete RPM range can be achieved. Built in connectors or pins provide additional inputs and outputs which allow for features such as oil pressure inputs or anti-lag functions.

If your car has been heavily modified (or you plan on doing so), the factory ECU will no longer be sufficient to control the add-on’s such as a turbo or after market exhaust. In this case, a PlugIn unit is a cost-effective solution to gaining the most out of your engine.

Some vehicles simply don’t have a plugin option; however, Link ECU has a huge range available for Mazda, Toyota, Volkswagen and more meaning there is a high chance we offer a PlugIn for your engine.

If it’s ease of application you are looking for, a PlugIn ECU is for you!

All Link ECUs (Engine Control Units) are 100% New Zealand designed and developed. We also offer a limited lifetime warranty so if your ECU breaks in the normal course of its designed use then we’ll repair or replace, no questions asked.
