Engine Management

Electronic engine management duties is handled by the Link G4+ Xtreme. All sensors being used were supplied by Link Engine Management; lambda meter included. On this setup we are looking at fuel pressure and temperature as well as oil pressure and temperature, complete with a comprehensive engine protection strategy based on these systems.

Motorsport Features

For motorsports functionality the car uses dual tables are fuel, ignition and wastegate duty cycle (boost). The driver has a comprehensive anti lag strategy for quick response from the turbocharger between shifts. Also, flat-shifting as well as launch control (adaptive ignition cut) are two other driver aids used at acceleration test.
  • Engine is OEM except for these valve train upgrades from GSC Power Division
  • S2 cam shafts, bee hive valve springs, titanium retainers and big bore zero tick hydraulic lifters
  • Stock turbocharger is used with upgraded actuator assembly as supplied by Forge Motorsports
  • Stock exhaust manifold has been replaced with a unit which is equal length and tubular, the oxygen sensor was also replaced with a less restrictive unit made by Tomei
  • The factory ignition solution was replaced by a quad pack plasma ignition system as supplied by Okada Projects
  • The entire factory fuel system was revised with assistance from Dedicated Motorsports, Injector Dynamics and T1 Race Development. Walbro 255 LPH in-tank fuel pump feeds a Bosch 044 in-line fuel pump to deliver a consistent and stable fuel flow to a set of 4 1000cc from Injector Dynamics. Fuel pressure regulation is handled by the Fore Innovations unit, -6 AN ports.

CRC Speedshow 2016

Thanks to those who made it down to CRC Speedshow on the weekend, It was great to see and talk to so many people from different areas of Motorsport.
On our stand we had John O-Gorman’s S15 RB25DET, Damien Orr’s Lexus V8 powered Superstock car and the 200cc Honda drift trike that got a lot of attention.
