I can spin the tyres, in any gear, at any speed!

Admittedly on dirt, but the two wheel drive Jimco will pitch sideways at over 200kph with anything over a slight whisper on the throttle.

I can spin the tyres, in any gear, at any speed!

Get out of the way, I'm coming through!!!

RedMist Racing landed an American Jimco off-road race buggy in February this year and began by stripping it down for the installation of a stock Nissan VQ35DE and two Garrett Motorsport turbos. The engine installation and complete rebuild of the car took three months but the results were astounding.

Still setup with its American desert ride height and spring rate, totally unsuited to NZ conditions, it landed a very credible second in its first two day event and sixth in its second showing. VQ30TT Air - Link Engine ManagementThe RedMist Racing Jimco currently stands first in class 1 and third overall in New Zealand, in its debut season.

A good portion of the stunning success  of the car is the engine, turbo and ECU package. The LinkPlus G3 allowed NZEFI to map the cams to give maximum power at all RPM zones. This gives the engine an almost flat torque curve from 2500 rpm to 7000 rpm. It’s here, at 7000 rpm,  where it develops a gut wrenching 519 hp at the wheels.

The LinkPlus also gave more than enough remaining channels to process a host of parameters including, oilVQ35TT Offroader and fuel pressures, oil temperature, wide-band O2, inlet temp pre and post inter-cooler, brake switch, etc. The amount of data collected is staggering and can only lead to improvements on a package that has already proven close on perfect for New Zealand Off Road Racing.

Problem is,  what do you do with more power, more torque when youVQ30TT Offroader in the mud can spin the wheels whenever you want to?
