Wire-In Engine Management
Wire-In Engine Management
Link Wire-In Engine Management Systems
are designed to be
installed in virtually any application. They are armed with numerous
multi-purpose inputs and outputs to allow connection to a wide variety
of different sensors and output conditioners. In nearly all
applications, Link Wire-In Engine Management systems use factory engine
position sensors eliminating the need for complicated expensive
installations of sensors on the crank and/or cam.
As the name suggests, Link Wire-In systems are designed to
be permanently wired into the vehicles electrical system.
Installation can be performed by wiring to the original ECU's loom using an AdaptaLink,
creating a complete new loom or using HeaderLink boards to create wiring adapters that
plug into the factory ECU connectors.
Link’s Wire-In Engine Management Systems range from those
that can be installed by the home enthusiast requiring as few as six
wires to be connected through to more complex systems requiring
professional installation and tuning. Factory sensors are retained
(in most cases), simplifying installation and reducing cost. These
systems are ideal for applications where no factory ECU exists (such as
re-powers or engine swaps), where a Plug-In Engine Management System is not available or
where a more advanced engine management solution is required.
