WRXLinkG3 Plug-In Engine Management, V7 to V10 2.0 litre STI & WRX
WRXLinkG3 for the V7—10 2.0l WRX and STI with "Mapped Cams" from Link ElectroSystems Ltd is the most sophisticated and powerful plug-in, after-market engine management system available. Unlike other “plug-in” systems this is not a wire-in ecu adapted to fit inside the enclosure, but a totally new, dedicated product.
All factory parameters are adjustable not just “powered up” so that your car will perform and drive “better than factory”. This is the result of four years R&D with race & road testing.
USB is on board. The additional XS connector can be used for extra sensors, switches and devices. e.g. keep your factory air con. etc. & add the extra features that you need like a datalogging switch, anti-lag switch or an output to make NOS gear dependant.
The WRXLinkG3 lets you optimise your WRX / STI with significant gains even for a standard car. The WRXLinkG3 is a serious, professional ECU.
R&D Programme
The Link WRXLinkG3 plugs into the factory connector and is completely inconspicuous once fitted. The software platform within the microprocessor (firmware) has been developed over the last four years and is the result of extensive testing both in-house, on our 4WD dyno, and on the road, driven daily. We have also race tested the hardware and firmware in our WRX hillclimb competition car, as well as rally, circuit & drag racing vehicles. The G3 platform brings with it new advanced features including full variable cam control and motorsport utilities. With the WRXLinkG3 all of the factory features such as emissions controls, air conditioning control and air flow meter can be retained or removed if required to allow performance modifications. The WRXLinkG3 can be used with the DisplayLink to add dashboard display and datalogging capabilities.
Tuning
The WRXLinkG3 enables the tuner to optimise further modifications that you may choose as every parameter is adjustable allowing the greatest gains to be made whether they be simple exhaust improvements or full scale vehicle development for competition. Once the WRXLinkG3 is fitted then the only limitation is how much air you can get throughout the engine and how you mechanically modify the engine to suit. PCLink software for your Windows laptop enables easy access and adjustment of all parameters. Driving
Driving the WRXLinkG3 you will immediately notice how responsive the car feels even from quite low rpm. The car will start
smoothly and run superbly while constantly compensating for load, temperatures and altitude & the pressure of the day. While many claim to do this, the WRXLinkG3 will give a continuity of tune that is better than factory. Please note that while other leading systems claim to be “plug-in and play", they are modified “wire-in” ECU's that compromise the vehicle and “fudge”, for example by running the fuel pump at maximum flow all the time rather than controlling the speed of the pump as per factory.
XS Connector
For those wanting to go even further we have provided an expansion port so that extra features may be connected to suit the individual demands and requirements. This uses the XS connector that is fitted to the PCB and allows you to bring in extra sensors or outputs that you may require. The result is that you have the flexibility of a wire-in ECU without the fuss and bother of having to re-wire the vehicle. Just run the extra wires that you require.
Upgrades
Once purchased, the WRXLinkG3 can be kept up to date with the latest firmware by logging into linkecu.com and downloading the latest firmware and PCLink software. As with all Link firmware product, this is free. Technical help is available both by phone and online from all Link dealers, as well as training courses which are available for accredited dealers.
