KnockBlock
KnockBlock - Engine Noise Signal Conditioner
The KnockBlock is a device designed for the measurement of engine
knock (also known as detonation / pre-ignition or pinking). The
KnockBlock accepts input from up to two knock sensors
simultaneously. Knock signals are processed and used to produce a
0-5V output representative of the level of engine knock.
The KnockBlock has adjustments for sensitivity and knock frequency to allow the device to be tuned for optimum performance in any application.
As an additional advantage, the KnockBlock has a headphone connector to allow audible monitoring of engine noise. This feature is used extensively by engine tuners to avoid knock and optimise ignition advance (headphones not included).
The KnockLink Digital gauge can be used as a visual display for the KnockBlock.
Please note: The KnockBlock requires input from a dedicated knock sensor. If you are still running your factory ECU, you will need an additional sensor and a spring-clip to mount it. These can be obtained from Link if required.
