The Link / AVO Hyper car is nearing completion
On display at the AAIW Show for SEMS this week end
The AVO widebody STI is nearly ready to race! After last minute preparations to be shown in the IAAS show in Tokyo, the cars graphics were finalized and deemed ready for the show. The AVO FMIC has been fitted, and the 2.5-liter Cosworth race engine installed. It actually runs right now, after fitting a WRX LINK computer, the newest type from LINK systems. It was actually quite surprising how easy the installation went of this standalone ECU, and how the car started right away, despite no tuning having been done. Ace job LINK! Rays Wheels also decided to sponsor our racing efforts, and sent us a set of one-off Gram Lights wheels for the car. Wrapped tightly around those wheels are 265/35 R18 Dunlop Direzza Z1 tyres, as Dunlop will also be sponsoring us for the Hypermeet race event.
The car is going to Original Box to have the corner weighting and alignment done. After that it will sit on the dyno for a while till we get to 600hp, and then its off to the track for testing!
