Wanaka Race to the Sky 2006
Marty Roestenburg, Class Win for the Link sponsored, H6 powered, WRX at the Wanaka Race to the Sky.
The LinkPlus G2 Engine Management System was appreciated for its precision altitude correction and temperature compensations enabling the engine to develop consistent power to the top of the course.

The "Race to the Sky" was the culmination of a huge redevelopment for this car resulting in over 400 kW (at the wheels). See the dyno sheet where we have compared the H6 to a EJ20 powered WRX with the VF30 turbo. Testing prior to the event at altitude ran without trouble allowing the team to focus on tyre and suspension development. See the following links of the car competing in the time trial & final shootout.

LinkPlus Data-logs from the run show that engine mixtures were stable over the 1,000 metre vertical climb with the LinkPlus baro sensor showing 85 kpa at the top. Further confirmation that altitude compensation is automatically calculated with the LinkPlus.
Our congratulations to Monster for his amazing performance and charisma and to Andrew for his well deserved 2nd place. We would love to join them at Pikes Peak!
