Ben Diggles does a 9.12 @ 153.4 mph in his street Gazelle
Went back down to the track last night after sorting out the synchro in the gearbox. Made some changes to the tune up and must have guessed right. Off the trailer, it went straight to a 9.12 @ 153.4 mph.
Light fuse, stand clear.
The second run of the night I wound more boost into it , looking for an 8, but it went into a big wheelstand and almost scraped the rear bumper. I had to get out of it, then back onto it for a 9.7. The last pass I went softer on the launch, but the track had cooled down too much and it was moving all over the place - in any case I didn't get a time slip so I don't know what it ran, but it wasn't an 8 !
Anyway, close to the 8's now, it might happen on a cool night with a sticky track, It would easily do it with a bigger turbo and cams, but I'll retain the street set up and see if it will do it as is.
