Selecting Parameter for Logging

Posted by Derek at October 27. 2011

I'm currently having trouble trying to set up a X Y plot using Engine speed, MAP, and wideband. When I open the properties to select engine speed for the X axis, I click on the parameter button, select Engine speed and click OK. After I click OK, Engine speed does not come up in the X axis box. I think the reason for this is because during the parameter selection, the little parameter icon with the sign wave line through that's next to Engine speed it isn't green, it's white for some reason. It seems as though it's not selectable, and I'm not sure why. I tried to read through the help file and couldn't find anything on this. I hope I was clear enough. Thanks!

The XY plot doesn't really work like that...

The way to do what you want is to select the Xaxis as RPM, Parameter as MAP, then use the colour indicator on the data derived from the WB data

As far as I know anyway

I must not be explaining myself very well. My main point is I can't select any parameter to insert into the X axis. It's like they're not selectable for some reason. Is that clear? I'm having trouble wording it correctly.

When the line isn't green it means the data isn't available (not logged) Do you have it available in any of the other logging display options?

When I go into "display mode" and select "log analysis" the parameters listed beside the couple of graphs that show up all have green lines but display "NO DATA". It's something silly I'm missing, I know. I just can't figure it out.

Try doing a small log then recheck this again if there is no data logged then it will always show no data

Free yourself from the constraints of the factory ECU. Link's G4 Plug-Ins fit discretely inside the original enclosure. Installation is a breeze, no alteration of the factory wiring loom required. An XS connector provides additional inputs and outputs such as oil pressure inputs or anti-lag / logging switches (the number available depends on the application).
