Software slowdown

Posted by Mike W at June 16. 2009
I am having a problem with the software (newer PCLink v.4.3.4). The program connects with the ECU just fine, but when actively monitoring, it will work correctly for about 4-5 seconds, then freeze for about 10-20 seconds, work again and freeze again (completely -- can't even move the cursor). It does this continuously when I am connected. I followed the instructions in the Storm manual for software installation, yet it does not seem to work. With only one screen every 20 seconds or so, it is difficult to tune. I am using XP Pro SP3 with all of the latest updates. I tried changing the two settings for baud rate and it did not make any difference. The indicated (top right corner) is between 4-8Hz. Any tips? Thanks, Dynomike

Does it suffer this issue when the engine isn't running?

Free yourself from the constraints of the factory ECU. Link's G4 Plug-Ins fit discretely inside the original enclosure. Installation is a breeze, no alteration of the factory wiring loom required. An XS connector provides additional inputs and outputs such as oil pressure inputs or anti-lag / logging switches (the number available depends on the application).
