o2 reading
Up to Link G1 Forum
I have a 2000 subaru impreza rs, with a Linkplus v10 ecu. I'm confused about the narrowband o2 reading. Before I had a vaccum leak I was getting a 0.00 oxy reading at idle. Should I be getting an o2 reading at idle? Or should I be getting an o2 reading when I press the throttle? Should I be getting an o2 reading the whole time the car is on? Is there such a reading of 1.00 oxy reading?
I only get on o2 oxygen number when the car is warming up but after that only when I press on the accelerator do I get a reading from the narrow band, Is this normal?

But I believe a narrow band only puts out a 0 - 1 V signal so the ECU can try and keep the sensor reading somewhere inbetween (ie 0.5V)
O volts would be leaner than ideal
1 volt would be richer than ideal
0.5 volts would be around the A/F ratio of 14.7:1 (ideal for petrol burn)
(0-1)V reading around A/F (14.25:1 to 15.25:1), rich to lean etc
And that one of the reason the more expensive wide band sensors are better 0-5V and larger
reading area from lean to rich.
